Make a difference
- To your community
- To your fellow members
- To your credit union
Marin County Federal Credit Union is seeking qualified volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.
Volunteerism is the backbone of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” Our volunteer officials set our financial direction and ensure that we operate safely and with integrity for the benefit of the entire membership.
Any member in good standing at least 18 years old may volunteer. There are two types of volunteer officials:
- Members of the Board of Directors are elected by the membership each year and serve 3-year terms
- Supervisory Committee members are appointed by the board annually
Board of Directors
Board members set and implement policies, and ensure that we operate in compliance with our charter, bylaws, all applicable regulations, sound business practices and in accordance with the goals and philosophies of Marin County FCU.
Supervisory Committee
Acts as members’ advocate, ensuring that:
- Complete and accurate financial records are prepared
- Internal controls, policies, and procedures are maintained and followed as determined by NCUA regulations
- Appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the credit union’s assets
- The board, management and staff act in the members’ best interests
