A Higher Level of Security
When you pay with your digital wallet, your card number isn’t shared with the merchant. Instead, a unique encrypted transaction number is used to complete the purchase. Your digital wallet can also protect you by requiring a PIN, thumbprint, or facial recognition to prevent unauthorized use.

A digital wallet is an app on your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch where you can store your Debit Card to make payments in person or online, and not have to carry the actual card.
Is Digital Wallet safe?
Yes. Using your Digital Wallet, your Debit Card number is never revealed to a merchant. Instead, an instant one-time number is generated each time you use it. You will want to be sure you are using a strong device password and enable two-factor authentication. Also, be familiar with your device's remote security features to remotely lock or wipe your device if it is lost or stolen.
Is there a cost to use Digital Wallet
No, Marin County Credit Union does not charge a fee to use Digital Wallet.

How do I add my Debit Card to my Digital Wallet?
(Following are instructions for iPhone users; G-Pay and Samsung Pay are similar. Please note at this time, you must enter your card manually.)
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Tap the plus (+) icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Debit or Credit Card from the list of card types.
- Choose Enter Card Details either manually or by scanning.
- Type your name, card number, expiration date, and CVV.
- Review and accept your card issuer’s terms and conditions if prompted.
- Complete any additional verification required by your card issuer (e.g., SMS code, email, or call).
- Wait for confirmation, then your card will appear in Apple Wallet.
